Answers to the questions I'm asked most often about working with a travel planner.
What's the difference with a travel agency?
A travel planner doesn't sell travel services and takes no commission on hotels, activities or transport. My role is to guide you: I design your itinerary around what you want, advise you based on hands-on local experience, then leave you free to book directly with providers, with no hidden fees. Freedom, transparency and full control over your budget.
Do you book flights and accommodation?
I don't make bookings on your behalf. I put together a personalized selection and recommend the best options for your budget, dates and needs. You get exact links and clear guidance to book with confidence, either on trusted platforms or directly with local providers.
How far in advance should I plan a trip?
Ideally at least 6 months before departure, especially for busy school-holiday periods. It's still possible to organize a trip later depending on the season and budget. International flights are best booked 6 months to a year ahead for the best fares; accommodation as early as possible for the best choice; activities a few weeks before, or even once you're there.
What kind of travelers do you work with?
I mostly work with couples, families with children or teens, as well as solo travelers and digital nomads — from tight budgets to high-end trips, including big occasions (anniversaries, honeymoons…). Every itinerary is personalized. I deliberately limit the number of clients I take on to stay available 7 days a week for each of them.
Why use a travel planner if I can organize it myself?
Planning a trip takes time, energy and a lot of research. Between endless information, conflicting reviews and social media, it's easy to get lost. With me: you save time, you benefit from hands-on local expertise (I live there), you avoid tourist traps, your itinerary is built around you (zero copy-paste) and you leave with a clear, structured plan.
How much does a tailor-made trip with you cost?
Support is offered as packages, starting from 29 CHF per day of organized travel. The rate depends on the length of the trip, the number of travelers and the level of customization. It covers full itinerary design, transport and accommodation selection, activity suggestions, advice and support before and during the trip. Free, no-obligation personalized quote after a first conversation. No commission.
Can I contact you if I've already booked part of my trip?
Absolutely. I can review your current itinerary and suggest adjustments, or help you with just one part or region. Some clients have accommodation sorted but need help with activities, others it's the other way round. I adapt my packages to what you actually need.
Who are your services for?
Travelers who want a personalized itinerary in Thailand or Southeast Asia, without spending hours organizing everything themselves. Couples, families, groups of friends or solo travelers — I adapt to your profile, pace and budget. That said, if you're looking for a classic agency that books everything for you, my service probably isn't the right fit.
